Well, the trip for 2009 is booked! With the input I've received and the research I've done, it looks like it should be a good one!!!!! :D :D Now just have to wait for the calendar to flip enough times to get to the day we leave!

PINEHURST HERE WE COME!!!!

IT MAY NEVER BE THE SAME.........

The only thing is that we will have to find another course coming back. We will stop and play Reedy Creek in Four Oaks, NC which is a Great course! This was the one we played coming back. Going to Myrtle we used to play Pinecrest Golf Club in Lumberton, NC which is a little south of Pinehurst, and is really a great little hidden gem. I'm sorry we will miss this one this year as it is a great little Donald Ross course that is fun to play. Looking at Ford's Colony in Rocky Mount, a sister course of Ford's Colony in Williamsburg. From what I can see it looks pretty good and the drive back from there won't be too bad.

Our Pinehurst Trip line up:
.....................4/26 Reedy Creek
.....................4/27 Hyland Hills
.....................4/28 Whispering Pines Country Club (River)
.....................4/29 Southern Pines
.....................4/30 Talamore
.....................5/1 Little River
.....................5/2 Down to four: The Links @ Cotton Valley
.................................................Willow Springs Golf Club
.................................................Wedgewood Country Club
.................................................Ford's Colony @ Rocky Mount

Staying at Little River Golf Resort, which is an upgrade from the condos we stayed in at Myrtle Beach. Each one is 2 bedroom with 2 queen size beds. We also took the hot breakfast every morning, and I even talked them down a little bit on the price per golfer. Also got them to accept the same arrangement setup we had in Myrtle Beach instead of the 50% deposit they originally wanted.

Looking good, now just can't wait!!!!!!!!!

Have you played Ford's Colony in Williamsburg? As you saw, the course I am leaning toward is their sister course in Rocky Mount.

I know you guys go down as well, if you have the opportunity, you should stop and play Reddy Creek, that is a great course, and ranks right there with the high end courses in Myrtle, WITHOUT the high greens fee. They are wonderful to work with and very accomadating to the group. Only like 10-15 minutes from 95.
