Im with ya cobra with Casey and Furyk. I think they will hang tough this week. Harrington might have screwed himself up with his swing changes. It just doesnt seem he is at the top of his game at the moment because of that. Naturally Woods is the front runner and everyone expects him to win it. Nothing new there. A couple of guys I would like to see make a good showing are Sean O"Hair and our local guy here from Sacramento Nick Watney. I feel they both have the game to make a really good showing in this open. i say that now and probalby just jinxed them lol but its time for someone like these 2 guys to step up with the top great players and think these guys can do that. It looks like rain three out of the four days so maybe the weather will let some of the players who normally would not have a chance be in the ball game. Let the game begin. Ill be watching Saturday and Sunday at the Monte Carlo in Vegas. I cant wait. Gary

It has been raining all morning and the course is very sloppy and a larger storm on the way. It appears play could be stopped about the time it comes on TV. Looks like a really sloppy tournament. It will be more about survival, if that's true.
Who are the best "survivors"? The ones with the best mental game, in my opinion, in these conditions. I think we all know who one of those are. I'd add Furyk to that list but the softness of the course will hurt him due to his length. Who else?

I'm visiting my mom on CApe Cod till Saturday the 20th...love my mom of course, but bumming out that I can't watch the tournament till Sunday!!! Normally I would be in front of the tv all four days!!! I never pay attention to who is in the lead on Thursday or Friday, things change greatly from Thursday to Sunday, that's for sure.

Hey Guys,
This is my first ever post on this board. I took the day off from work to watch the tournament. I am disapointed with the rain delay. But hopefully they will be able to take to the course again real soon. I am really looking forward to seeing Mickelson this afternoon. It's very early, but it appears that Tiger got the worst of the draws. If you recall in 2002, weather was a factor and Tiger seemed to get the best of the "weather draws" each day. In a tournament that will probably be decided by 1 or 2 shots, that means a lot. I think the stroke average will be higher for those that went out this morning when compared to the afternoon tee times.

When the horn sounded there were four players under par which, on that course in those conditions is amazing. Hopefully the current storm will move out soon and they can play again.
It seems to me it should have been stopped sooner. IMO when you are having to squeegee water from the greens to allow play, it's time to call it.

Welcome T-rex!!!!
I have had that happen in the past, taking the day off to watch a major and end up watching a rain delay. Hopefully, they will get some more golf in real soon.

Doesn't look good for much golf the next two days, while out here in rainy Seattle we have set a record for rainless days spanning May-June. 30 and counting. I'm sure in 2015 it will be pouring this week.

Forget the caddy...They are going canoes to finish that major...That course is swamped so bad it should be declared completely unplayable, but they would NEVER do that, would they?

That was quite a stream running down the middle of what ever fairway they were showing.
