I still think Stricker (putting) and Mediate (based on his play in the majors and can be a leader) are sure things for 2 of the 4 captain's picks.

I'm thinking maybe Trahan and Zach Johnson as my other two.

I would have to go with Trahan, Mahan, Rocco and Snedeker. !!!!

I'd go with Rocco and Stricker for sure, after that it's hit or miss imo. Take Holmes or Watson, who ever is hottest or take them both, mow down the rough and let them loose with the driver. Gay is a fantastic putter, he could be a solid team player. O'Hair is supposed to be the future, might as well get him used to this tourney. Marino and Reavie have played well too.

It has been indicated that Zinger has already picked two of the four and that one should look WAY down the list below the next two in the points standings to find the other two.

Being "hot" right now has never guaranteed success in the Cup. Match play is a different animal, and throw team play in on top of that, and I think it's much more important to find good match-play players, players with that killer instinct and who will mesh well with the 8 who qualified on points. If that is a Nationwide player or Senior player, then so be it. We should play to win, whatever combination that takes, and I believe Zinger will make his picks with that in mind, not worrying about being PC about it. At least I hope so.

I recently read in one of the golf mags comments from past captains. I liked Jacklin's comments saying he told them if he took the job the team would only attend one cocktail party and one formal dinner. They were there to play golf and win, not make friends. I like it!!

Maybe the other two should be Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson.

At least they know how to win.
