If I was Zinger I think i would want to go out on top. let someone else have all the fun of worrying about putting out a team and all the hard work that goes with it. If its not Zinger like someone said in an above post. Let use what he did as a blueprint and go from there. He was suscessful to say the least.I read either on this board or somewhere where they are going to use the four majors only for earning Ryder Cup points in 2009. Did i misread that? Whats up with that? Suppose your playing good all year and then tank in the majors. Your chances of making the team are not very good to me. I hope i read that wrong. plus we are going to being going to Wales to play links golf.Also like someone else said we are going to be up against it over there for sure. Not the favorite type of golf for most of our PGA players. But thats a discussion for another time.
But i guess if Zinger wants the jobs its his Time will tell.

That is the setup Zinger put in place. In 2009 they use the majors to earn RC points, then in 2010 they use the money lists, and the points in majors are doubled, I believe.

Not sure on the entire way they will pick the team now, but I did read an article that Zinger had stated he wouldn't mind doing it again in 2012. !!!!!!

Saw that Pavin was mentioned again. Others mentioned in the article were Couples, doing Presidents Cup. And Love, thinks he still can play at Ryder Cup level...well Perry did.

Gary Yeah it'll be tougher over there, certainly from a crowd standpoint, and probably Woosie as Euro captain, but the course is not your "typical" links course. It was designed for the Ryder Cup competion...pretty unique to do that!!! http://www.celtic-manor.com/golf-course-RyderCup.aspx

That"s a pretty sweet looking course. Not links style like I thought i had read. Looks a lot of rolling hills with a bunch of water on it.
