Wednesday afternoon update. Ms. Par would have finished alone in 6th place. I credited her with 3.375% of the purse, which seems to be the LPGA standard. But I can't determine her final place on the money list, because the statistics pages on the LPGA's web site aren't functional. It seems that they made a goof and are trying to correct it. I will update again once they finally get things back on line.

Update: The LPGA's stats page is now back up. Ms. Par finished at 15th on the money list. Congratulations to her on a fine season.

In another lifetime I might have had it. By the time I got my degree, my dad was ill, and I wound up back here running the family business. My classmates all had their pick of job opportunities, and I could easily have hired on with any of the big consulting firms or one of the other employers that were snapping us up. But I've always maintained that under other circumstances I would have sent resumes to the PGA Tour, PGA of America, LPGA, Palmer, & Nicklaus trying to get an MIS job with them.

That would have been so cool. If I had to do it again, I would be a winemaker;-)
