Okay, folks, the PGA Tour season is back in full swing, so here's the 2012 Parshooter Thread. The same rules apply as in previous years: Our theoretical player, Scott Parshooter, is given a fully exempt Tour card through a "Deus ex Machina" moment. He then plays every full field tour event, but he does not qualify for the Majors or for the World Golf Championships. He shoots exactly par in each and every round of every tournament, and after every tournament I post how he did that week, and his standing on the money list at that point. FedEx points are added to the mix; World Golf Ranking points are not. Comments, questions, and criticisms are always welcome. This and all other Parshooter threads are dedicated to the memory of Hogan Radial.

Thursday update. Mr. Par didn't make the cut, so his journey to Hawaii was fruitless. He's back in Palm Springs, where par is almost never going to make the cut, and his in last place on the money list.

He didn't even bring pineapples back? Actually Hawaii doesn't produce any pineapples for export anymore. Land is worth more for other uses...even though they've closed lots of golf courses.

They might not let you bring pineapples in, anyway. When I crossed into Kalifornia from Arizona on I-10 last September, there was an agricultural inspection station; I would assume that there is one at the airports too.

Yes there is, also ones in each Hawaiian airport. But not all of us are Cailfornicated.

Wednesday night update. Scott Parshooter, like always, missed the cut in Palm Springs. He's still in last place on the money list.

Maybe just count the south course this week.

Tuesday evening update. Scott Parshooter finally made a cut, and he's now #141 on the money list.

Tuesday afternoon update. Scott Parshooter made the cut on the number, but wasn't allowed to play the last day. He's heading down the Pacific Coast Highway at #143 on the money list.
