I just saw that france was awarded the rights to the 2018 Ryder Cup. There was some talk to hold it in Spain in memory of the recent events.

I would assume that it's a long & involved process to even produce a bid for the Ryder Cup. I wouldn't even doubt that the final decision had been made prior to Seve's passing. But I wouldn't be surprised if the 2022 Cup is held in Spain, and that either Jose Maria or Miguel Angel are the Captain.

Any good courses in France ? I saw very few golf courses while traveling there years ago. There was one in Chamonix ....the telepherique went right over , at least , one of the fairways as we were transported towards our climb in the French Alps. Amazing place......hard to climb most days after drinking heavily at night. We still hold some World Hangover records.

I imagine they have some nice private courses near Paris , but the eastern and southern parts of the country are the place to be for scenery and weather. I was really tempted to stay there on the French Mediterranean and sign on one of the fishing boats or be a poolboy for one of the old rich widows. I would have been a great poolboy......missed my calling. Would be a nice trip to take Hips.....you should do it .

Read about the course today, near France. But they don't have any players close to making the team. le Golf National Club.
Yes, that's why I'm building up all these frequent flyer miles for a trip to the continent.
