Great start to my round today. Was 1 over through 7 and then I realized it and then back to reality. Still had my 2nd in a row 83 though.
Was standing behind the 16th green today, waiting for other players to get on. I metallic glint caught my eye and moved around to get a better look. About 15' up in a pine tree was a club. Guess someone was a little more frustrated than I was after the great start. :lol:

I'll do my best to give you a stroke :lol:
It's a really easy course, found that many in my former league played it and it lowered their handicaps. So when we played tough courses, which i usually did, they couldn't handle a real course.

Nice shooting. You're doing well after your layoff.
So, you guys grow clubs on trees out there? When's the harvest? :-}

Handicaps are supposed to be equalizers but I'll bet on the person who established on a harder course every time.

Later,

I agree, DN. I think it also helps when it is established on different courses rather than the same one all the time. I've seen guys that have established their HC playing 98% of their golf at their club or home course, and when faced with playing a new course can't come close to playing to their HC.

Great playing. Looks like the comeback is for real!!! :D

I remember a round several years ago where, playing extremely well, standing on #13 tee and the guy keeping score says, "Did you realize you're 2 under par?" Yeah, back to reality. I ended up shooting 81!!! :(

It's the old "Learning where to miss" defense. :-}
Although I enjoy playing the same courses a couple of times a year it just makes a good gauge to tell where I'm really at to play different courses.
Shooting 85 at Shepherds Crook is a whole different animal than shooting 85 at Augusta National. :-}

I think the river adds some to the difficulty rating but it is 63/101 so pretty easy.
