Just saw, on TSN, where Allenby completely dumped on Anthony Kim for being a party guy, staying out late drinking and, even went so far as to refer to him as the present-day John Daly. The panelists on TSN were pretty critical of Allenby on the basis they doubt he can back up his comments with fact. And, of course, Kim played him the next day and whipped his ass to a pulp. Gamesmanship on Allenby's part. If so - pretty shabby. If not - also pretty shabby!
Allenby's on the downslope of his career and Kim is a bright, talented and charismatic guy on the way up. Get a grip, Robert!

I had read that and posted a bit of it on the PC thread. He said Kim was out until after 3 am. Then said maybe that is what it takes to win.

Sorry! Hadn't seen your post or I wouldn't have started a new thread. But anyway, maybe Allenby's comments were a little bit embarrassment after getting waxed and little bit contrition since, according to one of the TSN guys, he took some heat from the press and other players for his comments.

I'm suprised that Allenby woiuld resort to this stuff. Kim is not the first golfer to stay out very late when golfing the next day. It does not make him the next Daly either.

These two guys are pretty evenly matched up.....37th and 38th on the money list. If Allenby makes putts he's really dangerous. Kim had a disappointing season if he is to fulfill the young gun label attached last year. He didn't show up in many of the tournaments he played. Maybe Allenby HAS something there.........how is going to be the Tiger killer if he's out all night?
I'm not a KIm fan anyway..........party on Anthony.
