It just came over the news header on my home page -
Phil is suspending his PGA schedule indefinitely as Amy has been diagnosed with breast cancer. No word as to whether it's an early catch but the news item did say she's being scheduled for "major" surgery ASAP, likely within 2 weeks and that troubles me more than a little. Could be advanced beyond a lumpectomy procedure with a chemo follow-up. Let's all hope not and keep them in our prayers!

read that today also, was suprised that they were going foe surgury so quickly. There are fast and slow growing cancer cells so that could be the problem too.

I remember reading once that breast cancer tends to be more aggressive in women between puberty & menopause than it does in post-menopausal women. IIRC Darren Clarke's wife fought it for a long time, but they just couldn't seem to get her clean.

Clark is such a class act and I'm sure anything he would offer to Phil and Amy would be worth the read for any of us who've been touched by this scourge. I saw it on msn sports, ClarkE said they caught the cancer in the early stages.
