check this out everyone its absolutely wild. Gary ________________________________________________________________ Not your average par 3 course... click on arrow on the second box of course,the Irishman pared it This 900 yard par 3 is in South Africa How would you like to play this hole???? . The green is shaped like the African continent and completely surrounded by a sea of sand. You hit off a cliff over 1,400 feet above the hole and it takes 26 seconds for your ball to land. You have to take a helicopter to get to the hole. They post spotters around the green to let you know where your ball lands because you cant possibly see it. Padraig Harrington is the only person to ever par it. He did it in a playoff after a recent tournament there. It is the 19th-hole and only used for playoffs. Watch him do itwith a sandy no less. Click on the link below or cut and paste it in your browser. When the screen comes up, scroll down to the second major picture in the center column of the page. The first picture has an arrow in the center of it, but is not active. The second picture provides the YouTube video. http://www.compleatgolfer.co.za:80/new_ ... asp?id=856

I saw that. Wow, what a rush that would be. Wonder if you have to fix your own ballmarks? :-}

WOW!!!!!! That would be a rush...............we have something like that here in Virginia, on a MUCH smaller scale. Virginia National, 13th hole, tee box is on top of the mountain.......the carts have a rough time making it up there! The hole is 245from the black tees, which are the tips. I have played a 5 iron and hit the green before, what a rush! I never hit a 5 iron anywhere close to that, but with my high ball flight, I can reach it. You can see into West Virginia from that tee box. Very fun to play. Those spoters may have to venture into the jungle a bit for my ball............
