I think that "Cyber"distance has been alive and well in both groups from the beginning.  I've played in/with groups from both boards and it would surprise some people but they're pretty much the same. The ones that claim they hit it the farthest are the ones that don't seem to show up.   Later,

Just like most places, it's the ones that don't say anything that'll show you something.
The ones that show up at outings are the ones usually more interested in having a good time and enjoying the company.
They couldn't care less about impressing anyone.
I haven't had a bad time at any of the ones I've attended.
