Flood warnings out here today for the rest of the week. The least snow any ski area has got this month is 7', most is 15'. Won't be pretty when all that melts.

Wow...that's a bunch of snow. You fellers get the precipitation up there by golly. Good snow in the mountains here . My son went snowboarding yesterday......said it was two feet of powder....best snow of the season.
Always good to have a snowpack down here in the southern Rockies. Kind of dry along the foothills.....burbling streams will be welcome.

Ski areas say they will be open until June. They keep showing all these people with houses in the flood plains here. Well, DUH, you knew the river was there when you built or bought. Don't complain now!

One pass closed by numerous snowslides, almost lost a snow plow in one of them. Rain is letting up but still lots of melting. Still showing the idiots that chose to live in the flood plains. Hope the courses there don't get it to bad.

More like the idiots that put developments in the flood plains , and the governments that okayed them. Then they sold all those "entry level" chipboard palaces for 260,000 dollars , built by illegals and now worth 199,000 dollars. You probably don't have the tides of illegals up there that we have here , but i could never understand how a house was entry-level and cost over 200 grand. Many are now standing empty in places like Las Vegas , Phoenix Arizona , and Florida. ( Here in CO too.)

But .....that's another ball of wax. It got much windier yesterday. Like 40 or 50 mph winds. Unplayable wind....but not too bad today...light 15 mph breeze and cool. May get some practice in later.

Yes we do, several big busts of drug peddlers directly linked to the Mexican gangs. Some of the south county schools are mostly latino. Some of the seafood processors here have been busted for lack of green cards. The east side of the state with all the ag has a lot worse porblems with the illegals.

Was supposed to only be a 20% chance of rain today. It has 20%ed all day.
