Okay, let's set up a contest for the British Open. Pick the best finishing player from each of these countries / continents. The winner will be entrant with the highest total earnings. The nationalities and earnings are as identified on the official web site http://www.opengolf.com , subject to my following conditions: 1 Ireland is the entire island, not any political subdivisions. 2 Continental Europe includes Wales, as there is only 1 Welsh player. 3 North & South America excludes the USA. 4 Entries / modifications accepted until 06:29 AM GMT, Thursday 16 June 2009. First prize is a brand new sleeve of Srixon ZURS Second prize is a brand new sleeve of Top Flite XLs Third prize is the admiration of all the other contestants. Gentlemen, Gentlemen, The machine has stopped whirling and spinning.....and smoking, and the verdict is in.........here are the winners......... Scotland - ........Martin Laird.........A bit unknown, at least to me, but a solid player.  England - Ian Poulter........What is he wearing now??  Ireland - Grahme McDowell.........Could be the winner of the whole thing!  Continental Europe - Sergio Garcia.......will have a good open, but his demons may be back!  Africa - Tim Clark...........Another one that could just win the whole thing! Asia - Ryuji Imada..........Is Japan in Asia????? I hope so!  Oceania - Adam Scott.....Just where is Oceania......Hope it is near Australia!  North & South America - Camilo Villegas......It is time!
