Monty???? Not the most popular guy over here, I know, but he's basically been the face of the Euro team for 8 Ryder Cups. I, for one, will miss him being there and making every putt he looks at. NOT!!! Actually, I will miss him being there. I know times and things always have to change, but I actually hate seeing this one. And as long as you're here, what do you think about the Casey and Poulter pics?

Well, I hate to agree on Monty but he has a great record on the Ryder Cup and has delivered "Very well" in this event. I know that Casey and Poulter played well down the stretch but IMO it was a slap in the face to Darren Clarke. Just my .02 worth !!!!!

i AGREE. No matter what, Clarke is one heck of a Ryder Cupper and would have fared better than either of the picks, IMO.

Only time will tell about the wisdom of the picks. I wonder if Ian has the "Fortitude" (Balls for Cobra) to wear his Union Jack trousers? :-}
Since Monty won't be there I have to find another Euro to insult. :-}

He may not have had a really great season but he is another one that really plays when on the Ryder Cup team. Also he is looked at as one of the leaders of the team. Guess we will see what this shapes up to be after Zinger gives his !!!!!

Looking at the results from this week, does it matter who they throw out there? The world has passed the US in golf domination. we had a diacussion with Dan forsman while he was waiting for his wife arriving an hour later ona different flight. Seems there is a general belief among the older players that the younger ones are soft and don't have the killer instinct because they don't have to to have a great living. Wasn't it some guy named Jack that said this? Seems that he is far from the only one that feels that way.

It would send a message loud and clear. Later,
