Phil made it interesting by squandering a large lead, but on the last three holes pulled it together and pulled out a nice win. Congratulations Phil!
This should give him some confidence going into next week's match play.

It was good to see Freddie in the hunt again too. I hope his back holds up and he continues to play well.

Have to wonder what happened to freddie on his 2nd shot on 72. Stricker shot himself out of a playoff on the last hole too.

Fred had a seven iron from the light rough and butchered it. It's nice to know that these guys sometimes hit the same bad shots that we hit. Phil hung in there and got it done , but i would question how much confidence he really has going into the matchplay. On the other hand ; he will be playing in the desert and should have something going. Phil might be due down there this year. It would be nice if he hammmered Tiger and that moron that carries his bag.
