This just in........................In a bold move , President Bush has named Robin Williams to take over as Secretary of the Treasury . Mr. Bush was quoted as saying....... " I feel we need a really funny guy who can make people feel good about the fact that their life savings are going up in smoke. The current Secretary looks as if he's going to burst into tears at any moment , and i just feel we need to introduce a little levity into the situation. " The stock market was up 800 points on the appointment.........but immediately gave back those gains on rumors that , if elected , Barack Obama would replace Williams with Flip Wilson. When it was pointed out to the Senator that Wilson was dead , he immediately came up with his second choice.....George Lopez. This news sent the market into a tailspin as pundits showed clips from his stints as host at Pebble Beach on the PGA Tour. It was soon apparent Lopez has never said ANYTHING funny in his life , and even the pale , sober , almost in tears , visage of Secretary Paulson would provide more comic relief than that little "dance" Lopez does every now and then. Obama has called in Fred Couples to consult on other candidates for the job.

Well, I'm sure Robin Williams would sure have some comments on this whole mess, that would if nothing else, make us all laugh. I hate to be the one to correct the McDivots News Service (MNS), but Lopez hosted the Bob Hope not Pebble Beach, but hey, you guys were close!!!! He did play in Pebble, I believe!
