I see there was no discussion on the Dustin Johnson"s big blow up. What does everyone think. Should a rules official reminded him that all the sand areas were traps? Dustin admitted he didnt read a rules sheet at the beginning of the week Watney his playing partner did know the rule either. It was a damm shame it had to end that way for Dustin. What what would it hurt if the rules guy did come up and tell him he was in a trap. im just saying. Maybe im seeing it wrong.Opinions please.

Gary

I don't feel that it's up to rules officials to remind players of the rules. I thought he had already grounded his club before he got a rules official. Bottomline is that it's up to the player to know the local rules. It's a shame but 100% his own fault. It's funny, if Michelle Wie did the exact same thing or soemehing, no one would be backing her up, they would just be blaming he completely.

I saw him ground then ask too, but with the fans standing there, that has to be taken into consideration. There is a rule about fairness somewhere in that book. Most players think the ruling was BS.
