Dmarque wrote:My FIL love TCM channel as it runs movies with no commericals. He records them and makes his own labels and covers. I can't tell them apart unless I open the DVD case and there is no insert, which usually comes with a DVD. He really enjoys doing that and was just recently telling me how many Errol Flynn movies he had and John Wayne movies he had.
Two of my favorites......"Robinhood" w/ Errol Flynn and "The Searchers" w/ John Wayne are terrific.......Did you know that Roy Rogers discovered Trigger while watching Olivia DeHaviland during the filming of Robinhood? The horse she (Maid Marian) rides in Robinhood is Trigger. Roy saw Trigger and made an offer on the spot to purchase him. The rest is history as it is well known that Trigger was considered the smartest horse to ever be in motion pictures. The history of Trigger is legendary and it began on the set of Robinhood.
