Currently, the Simpsons. IMHO one of the funniest, sharpest satires, and it has been for nigh on 20 years. I'll also second NuHips' nomination of The Muppets. And I was a huge fan of The Wire. It had something to say, and it did so honestly. I would *not* let children watch it, but that's what VCRs and off buttons are for.
