They were saying on TV that 4 under had a shot..........but IMO it would be a LONG-SHOT!

Phil was guessing that he had to shoot 65 to have a chance.

Well, everyone wanted to see Phil and Tiger paired together.
Too bad it's not in the final group.
Since they're 7 back it'll be a tough row to hoe to get to the front.

The HDTV looks simply awesome!!!!!

Later,

While it'll be interesting to watch Tiger and Phil play together, I agree they're out of it as far as the championship. Tiger has come back from 6 down, but he's not hitting it well enough to do that this year. If he does it'll change my mind about what's the best Masters ever, to me that being '86. Even as "badly" as he's playing, as far as the Phil/Tiger match, I'll still take Tiger today, mainly because I don't think Tiger will be playing Phil, and Phil will be playing Tiger, a scenario that seldom works. Tiger will still be trying to post the best number he can, while Phil will be trying to win the battle between them.

Tiger is almost DFL in putting this week, but I'm not sure the putter is the only or real problem. He is not controlling his distances with his irons well, plus missing some left or right, putting him on the wrong side of the pin in most cases, and at Augusta that is the kiss of death if you want to make birdie. i

I think, regardless of Tiger not being in the mix, or Phil, or several others, it's thus far been a really good Masters. I think it's the type of Masters the fans (especially those there) want. Birdies can be made, yet the courst can still bite you in a hurry if you get careless.
The Perry/Cabrera pairing iwll be fun to watch. Both are scary long, both are pretty straight off the tee, both are streaky putters, though I'd give the putting edge to Perry. I think it would be great for Perry to pull this one out. There are still several others who can win, but I'll be pulling for Perry.

The kids and grandkids will be here just about the time the leaders hit the back nine. If it's not raining (which is very possible today) we'll have the Easter egg hunt, but beyond that, they know full well granddad is going to watch the Masters!! :D

See you guys when it's over. Have a great Easter.

It's kind of cool really. A 48 year old in the lead who's absolutely convinced he can win, An Argentine tied with him who knows he can win, three major champions within 5 strokes and then Tiger/Phil poised to make folks forget everything else.
This is just about as good as it gets. I'm going to be glued to it.

A three way playoff with Woods, Watney and Westwood would make me a happy camper. :-}
