The 2009 Presidents Cup kicks off Thursday with six foursomes (alternate shot) matches. Here's the lineup for each match:

I thnk the pairings look good for USA. Stricker and Tiger should bereal good, both reat putters, they get along good and there games srt oocnast each other.

Looks like the favorable parings are working out well. Sort of an overkill with Tiger/Stricker though.

Good golf so far. Matchplay is really more fun to watch than another snoozer strokeplay tournament. I have only seen about an hour of the thing so far though........caught that leather-lunged moron yelling "IN THE HOLE" while Zach Johnson was settling over a putt to win yesterday. Maybe the gallery should establish a tradition of beating these guys to death , on the spot , for such transgressions. It would certainly add some spice to the proceedings and help to rid the world of loudmouths who can't think of ANYTHING better to yell than ....IN THE HOLE !!!

They seem to wait until the last few holes to make big runs...both ways.
