He made TIger a captain's pick one month before the deadline. The opposing captain Greg Norman stated that he would have not picked Woods if he had that choice.

Now TIger is the only American without a point. He is not playing bad at all. He has hit many good shots, just not making any birdies and a missed putt here and there. :)

Now Freddie's dilemma. Does he sit Tiger in one of two sessions on Saturday? Freddie has often claimed that Tiger is still the best golfer on the planet. How do you sit the best player on the planet? How do you not sit the one player who has not contributed? What would you do? All eyes will be on Freddie as he makes this decision. If you were on the team and had to sit, how would that make you feel knowing you're contributing to the team points while Tiger is still figuring it out? What if Tiger lights it up on Saturday, you would not want to miss out on that? LOL

I would sit him......he can't play dead.....worst player on the team.

Seriously......sit him in the morning and bring him in from the bullpen. He is bound to make a putt or two and he's always tough in singles for the final day.

I'm afraid that Freddie might talk to Tiger first and then Tiger tells him that he is more than ready to get payback etc..... Freddie plays him in both sessions thinking that Tiger based on his years of being #1 has earned and deserved the chance to prove to the team that he can play strong on Saturday.

Now that is what I think will happen. What would I do? I would play him both sessions, the odds of him playing a third day in a row like this is very slim even for this version of TIger we have seen for 2 years. He will get hot I think. Stricker gets a seat on the bench and then maybe Toms.

Great post.......i could not agree more. There is no doubt in the world that Tiger has earned the chance to go out there and break through in this competition. He's hitting the ball quite well , and i think he's really close to playing his best golf.

Stricker is probably the weak link right now. With the injury , he should get some rest and Toms is hot and cold. Really hard conditions out there. I've been playing in the wind a lot lately. It makes the game so much harder when the wind is blowing in your ear and you are tacking with wind on every shot.

I think you play him.

Well, Tiger played dominant golf in singles. Only one fairway missed, 4 greens missed and putt after putt made. As for the week, he struck the ball very well all week, he even made good putts all 4 days, they were just not dropping the other days. Of course his match gets the point to win the cup. His teammates all high fived and hugged him (except for Phil, I did not see Phil anytime after the cup was won) and his teammates genuinely seemed to like the guy, not the wives though. lol

I actually think he is ready to win tournaments. Next year is the year of the Tiger again. It's a big year for him and golf.

The whole team played quite well. Tiger looking more and more like Tiger Woods. The course played really tough and the Australian fans were great.

Don't know where Phil was......they were saying that Tiger and Phil were getting along better though.

Read that Stricker gave him a putting tip that got him going.

I agree on Stricker being sorry he gave Tiger the putting tip. I know many pro golfers are good friends with each other, but why help your friend (opponent) out? If Tiger regains his winning way in part because of strong putting, he is only taking money away from Stricker and any other golfer who has given Tiger some tips. And there has been quite a few in the last two years, who has offered tips.
