Tonight on GC they overdid it. Don't get me wrong, I like Tiger, but he's out, on the shelf, injured reserve, not playing. I can't believe they can't get through one show without drooling all over him. Come on, I know he is "the game" but give us a break!

They even showed a spot for The Approach and the whole segment was about Tiger, ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh!

It was insufferable.................i still think Tiger milked that knee thing for everything it was worth.

Now it's one of the "greatest feats of all time" ......just what Tighe was going for. With any luck ; he'll come down with something while winning a major this year. Oh....i forgot....he still has a lot of mileage left with the knee thing.

This post will be popular. Maybe i should take it over to that other DB. We need some life in here.

Welcome to Tiger TV 2009 version. :-}

I'm relatively unimpressed and I only watched about 2 or 3 minutes of it.
Between Tiger and Daly I guess there isn't much going on in golf these days.
Oh, Adam Scott has a bum knee now. I guess he's gearing up for a run at the majors. :-}

Later,

Geez, I remember most of the golf channel talk after the majors concluded last year as not including talk about Tiger. I think it's unfair to say that TGC has been continously talking about Tiger since he has been out. It's 2009 and obviously for good reason Tiger's comeback will be the biggest story.

I'm sorry JJ, I don't think he has been milking his injury. We went months without hearing a word from Tiger until his press conference at the Chevron. Tiger does not need to purposely add drama to his major wins. As he approaches 18 major wins the drama will keep increasing. And yes the US Open by Tiger was one of the greatest feats of all time in golf history, but it appears you think he was faking it or at least faking the intensity of the pain when the camera was on him. Get real. :D
Yes, feel free to keep posting posts that will invite debate because I will continue to call you on it. :D Keep it coming JJ. Good day.

I don't think Tiger was milking it, he is, as I have said many times probably the greatest to have ever play the game, but give us a break! Why don't they have an Arnie Week? Or a Jack Week? Or a Bobby Jones Week? Even a Hagen or Morris week? Some of those, I would enjoy!

He is BIG, his comeback will be covered around the world, I really feel for him because he is coming back from career threatening surgery, and everyone is expecting him to win the Masters his first time out..............after not playing for almost a year! Do we have the same expectations of other sport stars? Will the Pats go undefeated next year with Brady back? Where is he and what will his come back be like? Maybe apples to oranges?? I will be happy he is back and pray that he can play without pain or injury for a long time.

I understand the Tiger week and they are catering to the newer golf fans (since Tiger entered the scene), but golf is the one sport were you need to learn the history of the game and appreciate and respect the people that paved the way ala Jack, Arnie, Gary etc... Yes, I agree they could use a Arnie, Jack etc... week.

I heard hints of yesterday while watching the golf channel, like he was a lock to win his first tourney back, the 9 out of 11 is what it will be. That is ludicrous. Yes, he has been practicing his short game and undoubtly will have much long game practive in before he returns, but he can't practice the tournment feel of the PGA tour, that is were the game rust will be.

I don't think he has been "milking" it since the U.S. Open ....at least he hasn't initiated the "milking."

You would think he had part of his femur sticking out with the press he has received lately. He was driving the ball 320 yards on one leg...........nahhhhh. He did not have a broken leg when he crouched several times (with no pain) in ecstasy after making a putt. The press has run wild with this thing.

I think Tiger likes to have something MORE than just the field and the golf course to overcome. In that sense ; i think he used it to make more of a historical staement during the tournament. It was a great win ( thanks to Rocco ) , but i think the effect the knee had on his play has been WAY overblown since that win.

I don't mind you "calling me" Kevin. I like to think we are friends and i enjoy the DB very much. I think Tiger is a great player and i expect him to have another great year. Maybe somebody can step up and compete with him . Looks like we already have several knee problems......jeesh...it's golf !
