This is not a news related item or something I overheard somewhere, this is a debate on the forum of a sports fantasy game I play.

I played a game that buys and sells sports player's stocks for fun. To keep this short, whenever someone passes away in the sports world, present or retired, they offer an honorary IPO stock to purchase for this individual. Well today, they put out an IPO for Joe Paterno.

There was discussion before it was released and I'm shocked that the owners of this game failed terribly to consider the feelings of people who are disgusted by Joe Paterno's lack of action that in the end resulted in many more kids being molested by Jerry Sandusky. There point being that they can separate ] Joe the football coach and Joe the person we have learned about in recent months. I'm sorry, I can't do that. Sure, I can just not bu the stock. But when I look at the stock listings, I haveto see Paterno's listing. I don't care to see the guys name anywhere.


Yes, it's just a game, but it's a constant reminder. Am I crazy? Speak freely and honestly, unlike the forum for that site who won't let you speak your mind.
