golf DB this morning. I found lots of March Madness/NCAA info.

Did anyone notice there was a pretty darn good golf tourney this past weekend? Great Sunday finish.

Oh, BTW, Mickelson won.

Yeah, we were wondering if we'd skeered you off or something. :-}

Like I said in the Smacktalk thread it was an interesting and fun tournament to watch.
I kept waiting for Phil to spit it up but he held on.
If Watney could play a bunker shot he would have worn Phil out.
It was nice they left the mics on for some of the Bones/Phil interaction.
Roger M saying that Bones needed to put a shock collar on Phil was classic.
Phil sounded like a regular Sunday hack when he asked "Where'd it go?" immediately after hitting the shot from under the bush.
Tiger's drive hitting the palm tree right next to that guys melon. Sure woke him up. Tiger was burning lips all day, he's close.
The Bozo yelling "Get in the Water" during Phil's drive on 18. Interesting comments by Miller following that.
Furyk made a nice run, too bad he waited so long to get started. Oliver Wilson did too.
Jeeve Singh and Camillo played some nice golf, just not nice enough to challenge.

All in all I enjoyed watching that more than any other tourney so far this year.

Later,

Hello GA.........good tournament this past week ! I have become a fan of this Watney kid. He can really play and he doesn't need tight shirts , weird hats , or orange shoes to get noticed. Phil played the kind of exciting golf he is known for , and made tons of birdies. I had Tiger in all four days in Fantasy .....so that certainly doomed any chance he might have had to win. :D

How about Justin ..........he has really been showing up on leaderboards again. I took Stenson out for Sunday and he shot 83. I didn't check out what possibly could have happened to him , but i assume he spent some time in the agua. He's a weird one....he can be as bad as he is good at times !!!

Fun to watch on the tube. Johnny Miller is really good . He's really with every shot and has a great sense for what's going on between the ears for some of these guys. That's probably why he gets in trouble sometimes........he's too close to the truth for comfort. Good to see a post from you ........seriously dude.........duuude....seriously !!! :D

Hey, guys. I agree, it was a really good tourney. i couldn't believe the "get in the water" comment. What an asshole. Of course, it's Tiger's fault. He brought all those nutjobs to golf!! (that was for you, jj)

I've been MIA lately with a lot of personal family stuff going on...kids, my mom, etc. I'm back now and hope to be more active. Good to hear from ya'll too.

That was Stevie.......he was in the grillroom pounding Newcastles and decided to walk out and scream some stuff at Mick. :D

Actually......in a way he IS probably guilty of contributing to that kind of stuff. Some bonehead reads that Tiger's caddie thinks Phil is a tool and then goes out there to yell something stupid. Too many leather lunged idiots out there these days........including Tiger's baggage handler. :)
