Well,
The temp hit 55 today and I've had enough.
After bringing Lori back from the vet and having a bit of lunch I told Deb "I'm out of here, The driving range is calling my name".
She laughed and told me "I knew the way you looked out the window this morning that you were going to play today". I guess I don't have a very good poker face. :-}
Anyway, I still know how to hit a golf ball.
Driving range was on mats so I just got a small bucket and went through the bag. The wind was blowing but just being out there hitting balls in slacks and sweater was sure nice. Hit a few sloppy but for the most part had pretty good contact. Spent about 20 minutes on the putting green, need to get my touch back there.
As I walked out on the range I heard a voice say "Is that Russ?" I looked over and it was Obi-Wan from the GEA forum hitting balls after playing 18. We talked for a bit and have plans to get together for a round soon. I played with him and two other GEA guys last fall at Thunderhawk and we had a blast.
I have to drive south tomorrow but hopefully Friday will get the first round of the year in.
Damn it's been a long time coming......

Glad ya got out and I hope ya get the round in soon,,, !!! You deserve it after all of the snow !!!

Monday was 69* here but back to normal now. Mid 50's and rain tonight.
Glad you knocked a little rust off.

Played yesterday......not too bad. Best time of the year. It's spring and the grass is peeking out in that first burst of green. The whole season is beckoning and optimism is running high. It won't last. The game will soon remind us what a feckless bunch of choking hacks we really are.....but have fun out there.
