Today (I Think) Johnny Miller, being himself laid these comments out there:
"His picks, if you ask me, were okay," Miller said. "I probably would have gone for (Scott) Verplank, because he can win under pressure. Or Rocco (Mediate) and (Brandt) Snedeker, because they're great team guys with a lot of energy. I surely would have put Zach Johnson ahead of Holmes and Campbell. As far as Azinger's picks, he might be a genius, but it's sort of like being in Baskin Robins and arguing about flavors."
While his trait is being honest, perhaps these were not made at the best time, but could motivate the team.
Time will tell, What do you think??

It is Johnny being Johnny and I pretty much agree with him. There is nothing wrong with the timing, it could only light a fire under those players. IMO

As Roy stated, Its Johnny being Johnny, I kind of like his picks though !!!! But, if anything it should light a little fire for these players if they want to prove him wrong !!!!

Jack too: Even without Tiger Woods on hand, Jack Nicklaus believes that the United States simply has better players than the European team. Because of that, he says, there's why the host team can't pull off the victory at Valhalla. "Europe has a lot of good players and a host of very promising young guys. But who among them has a great record?" he asked. "It isn't like the 1987 European team that had (Seve) Ballesteros, Faldo, Sandy Lyle, Bernhard Langer, Ian Woosnam and Jose Maria Olazabal. "We probably didn't give them enough credit at the time, but history has proved those guys were great players. It was no accident they won," he added. "But there's no reason the U.S. team should lose the Ryder Cup at Valhalla."
