"Easy" 5-W............yeah, right! At nearly 62-years old it's jump outta my shoes and hope to catch it in the centre of the club face. Add to that the fact that, at 5-8 and 150 lbs, I'm what you'd probably call a "little guy". Lack of size and age are catching up to me.
I was never purely long, just adequate and long for my size but, gone are the days when I could hit a 3-i 205 off the deck - don't even carry it anymore - thank God for hybrids!
Cheers
Chuck

I'm in the same boat . I'm a bit bigger than you... 6' ...182 lbs...but i have a bad low back and i'm always banged up from hockey , so i'm a short donker these days. I'm a lot smarter player than i was when i could get it out there , but that only goes so far on a long course.

Still ; i can get my ball around the course and i have fun out there. I have been playing to about a 8-9 hcp so far this season and i'm hitting some good shots ...keeping the really bad ones to a minimum. I practiced hard all last season and i seem to have discovered a few things in my swing that are working. My course management is much better than years ago. It's amazing how many shots can be saved by "missing" in the right places and being aggressive when the time , and shot , are right. It's a facinating game......nothing really compares to golf when you are linking shots and making a few putts. I love it !
