I guess Sergio wanted to give the putts on the first hole, but Kim said he wanted to putt. Good message sent from the beginning.

I didn't know what happend, but I was surprised they putted. Sure looked like good-good, but I guess you're right, message delivered. Kim knows he's a better putter than Garcia, so why not! And yeah, he finally missed a short one, that most would have said should havae been given. When in match play tourneys, I always have the mindset that I'll have to putt everything, no one is obligated to give me anything. I never get upset over putting an 18-incher or two-footer. Of course, I return the favor gladly! :0)

When I saw the pairings I was afraid Sergio's experience would be a major factor in the match. Sergio probably did too! LOL Kim is so damn confident in his game that he just teed it up and put it on him!!

I agreed with the confidence part, but Kim has had a great year and just showed he will be one to reckon with as long as he keeps at golf and not partying.
A lesson for JD?

The difference in the match was that Sergio is a superstar and Kim is still working at it. The superstar was complacent and the wanna be took it to him. Made for a nice role reversal. AKs star is still rising and it'll be interesting to see if he can pocket a major or two in the next couple of years. I really want to see how he holds up with Tiger in the mix. Is he "The Man"? Not Yet :-}

Later, I agree he is a up and coming star. Now, as big of a Tiger fan as I am, IMO this is one kid that wont back down or let Tiger get to him. Last year I think AK learned one heck of a lot on not what to do !!!
