What a shocker. At the age 0f 28 and not yet qualifying for the hall of fame, Lorena will be retiring. I think it's a pretty big lose for the LPGA, especiallybeing so soon after Annika retiring. She will hold a press conference on Friday to explain why she is retiring. I hope whatever it is, that she is very happy with her choice.

She seems to have lost the fire in the belly, and I don't discount the possibility that she has one in the oven, too. If she wants to spend her time being a mom & step-mom rather than a touring pro, good for her.

She was a real comet for a time. Retired at 28...that would have been nice.
A loss of more starpower for the LPGA. They really can't afford to lose interesting players like Lorena.

I would agree with the guess on the mommy thing. Hubby sure can afford to support her in they manner she has become accustom to.

Hasn't even been out long enough to qualify for the HOF. I really wondered about the timing with a Mexican tournament coming up but she is going to play there, I see. Sohouldn't be a border crossing problem since she should have a private aeroMexico everywhere she goes.

She can't seem to play dead these days. This game will do that to you.
