RoyMcavoy wrote: The head of the LPGA wants the golfers to be able to tweet during rounds. For those who don't know, using twitter is just basically giving an update to your followers of your status or what;s on your mind. This seems stupid to me to have the golfers doing this during a round. A heard many arguments against it, but one argument I was waiting for that I never heard. The golfers would have their cellphones with them and obviously can receive text messages also. The temptation of receiving outside advice has entered. Someone (friend, parent, SWING coach) could notice something a little wrong with Paula Creamer's swing or putting stroke and text that information to Paula with advice on how to correct it. No one else would realize she is receiving outside advice, they will assume she is updating her twitter account. I would advise any pro golfer out there against tweeting during a round, because it could possibly cost them during a tournament.Even if they are not cheating while Tweeting,it is still a distraction to them. They should be thinking about their next shot, not how they will respond to the latest Tweet.

I . myself , engaged in some choice "tweeting" after i hit my second into a canal on a par 5 last time out. TWITTER..........is that the feeling you get over a 6 footer for par ? Or it could be that sound of the ball skipping over the turf after a topped 3 wood............no......that's skittering. The LPGA needs some leadership.................they should not even be debating such a ridiculous notion of allowing players to be doing such a thing during play. NO PHONES......NO CARTS......NO GPS....NO GODDAMN TWITTERING.
