Read an article about PM today and said his son had been through about of kidney problems. they don't know what caused it and it cleared up on its own just before he was scheduled for surgery.
I agree that the Masters could bring out the beast in both of them. Course favors lefties and long hitters so that eliminates a few.
Don't know what hole it was but it seemed that most were going long on it. Rocco said something about landing on the front fringe and running all the way through.

Very true about Tiger and Phil being able to turn it on and put it together at the Masters. Tiger is in the following groove for every tourney he is playing of late. He has 2 average rounds, 1 excellent round and 1 poor round which get him to about the 10th sport when it's over. If he is still messing/struggling with putting, then he is in trouble at Augusta. Last year if I remember, Phil's game was nothing to write home about before the Masters and then we know what happened.

You have a young player who plays excellent golf for 2-3 weeks while winning once in there, then goes back to more medicore play. WHo is next?

I think the Tour really needs some big names in the mix at the Masters on Sunday. That means ; it's time for Tiger to put a couple of rounds together and for Phil to play some golf. If the young guys come out and fill up the first page for four days , then we have a passing of the torch. It would be nice for a guy like Steve Stricker to break through with a win at The Masters. He's a great putter and plays smart golf , so he could get it done here.

Old guys.....Freddie Couples and Vijay Singh come to mind. They could get hot and contend.
Euros......maybe Westwood or Kaymer , although the latter plays a left to right ball. Possibly Poulter if he can roll his pill.

Maybe Kucher , if he can hit it long enough and get hot on the greens. Looking forward to another Masters. It really is the kick off for my own season and the place has that magic quality that comes through , even on television.

Freddie always plays well there and Vijay seems to be revived this year. I too, would like st see Stricker win. He has stuck yo his roots and not built a mcmansion in the warm weather.
Hey, instead of that bike you are dreaming about I heard that there is a little dinghy called "Privacy" on the block. Only $25M asking.

Should have kept his "dinghy" to himself.

I may buy a canoe and become one of those kind of guys. Canoes and kayaks festooning my suv ....maybe two or three bicycles......grow my hair long again. Nahhhhh...don't have enough energy for all that.......except the canoe thing........might , actually , do that one.

Good to have a dream though. I need to get off my ass and make the KLR thing happen before they put me in the home. Hard to carry golf clubs on those things though.........rental clubs !!!! Yikes !!! Hard enough to play with my own clubs.

Stricker deserves a major win. Has Steve won a Major yet ? I don't think so......he would be a perfect guy to win a Masters.

Found out last summer that caonoes and artifical hips don't work. Lots of cramps and laying back to get to the end of the trip. Have a nice bike that I've ridden maybe 5 times but still keeping up with the daily walks.

At this time last year in Hawaii, sure couldn't blame the rental clubs. One place it was new Nike's and another had new TaylorMades.

Jeez....i'd play BETTER with those kind of rental clubs ! I guess i was thinking of the clubs they give you at less than posh golf courses. You know ; the tattered old bag of clubs that were new sometime in the late sixties with grips the hardness of the bark on a ponderosa pine tree. The Babe Zaharias model putter would not be too bad if not for the fact that it is only 29 inches long. Hard to make putts with the blood rushing to your head as you bend over that thing.

I guess it's been some time since i last rented clubs. I was probably playing somewhere not on the list of clubs that might be included in the U.S. Open rota.

You got me to thinkin Hips.......i know...kinda dangerous . Let's see CANOE - BAD BACK......might not be the best combination. I guess i'll just play a bit more golf and maybe even play in some tournaments this year. That means getting my USGA handicap. Kind of a pain to join a men's club and all that......not much of a men's club guy. I really don't have one course that i play and it takes those guys three hours to play nine holes. They always want to play some strange game that entails some kind of escalating scale of bets that i can never quite figure out. I beat them like a drum all day long and then end up buying them drinks because i inexplicably lost the last hole........and now owe THEM ....even though i shot 78 and they shot 90 something. I'm a greenhorn when it comes to that stuff....they see me coming i guess.

Those were the clubs I had ay the 3rd place I played but the price was right for them...free.
Around here there are several options to joining a mens club. One of the microsoft $$$$$$$$$$$ has bought up all the nice courses here and I bought a low level discount card from him that also gives me a handicap for $25. GlofNow here has a program going with some extra discounts and a handicap for $40. Our local discount golf store also has a $40 program. So you should be able to find something similar.

Nicolas Big 8 won all 3 segments and overall for the fantasy golf participants who took part in the betting sleeves of golf balls. That being said, we who took part in the betting portion of fantasy go;f owe him 4 sleeves of golf balls. He said he has no preference on golf ball.

Here is his mailing information.
