Arrested again in Winston Salem NC, last night, outside a Hooters, being uncooperative. I wonder who he will blame this on. I really Like John Daly, but the time has come for him to get his stuff together, or just move on. What a REAL waste of talent!

Man, didn't hear about that !!! I also have liked Daly over the years, but I think he may as well call it quits.

What in the heck is wrong with this guy? So much wasted talent. It's a real shame. http://www.comcast.net/articles/sports- ... toxicated/

I have always been a big John Daly fan. But in this point in his life he definely need a reality check. Its been two years in a row now that he hasn"t made enough money to get his card back.i could be wrong but i feel that his sponsers exemtions are going to be far a few between 2009? Could that be the reason he is headed for the euro tour next year? He has worn out his welcome on the PGA tour. Everybody know he needs help but like everyone says he first has to admit he has a problem. If he doesn"t he will either die the rate he is going or just fade away. This is just my opinion on John. I hope he can get his life turned around but its not looking to good right now.

Not arrested, just taken into custody to allow him to sober up. A little bit of a difference.
Big John definitely does things his own way. He's the proverbial train wreck that noone wants to see but can't help watching as it occurs. Seems to me like it'd be a rough road to travel, but it's his road and he gets to call it his way. I can say it's wrong but that would be it's wrong for me. In the end he's the one who has to look in the mirror and decide whether he did it right or not.

"Technically speaking" he was not arrested. He was "detained" and allowed to sober up! So while "technically" true, it's just continued denial.

I don't understand why it's such a shame that John Daly likes to drink and carouse. Explain to me why it's such a tragedy that a guy like Daly likes to party. He had some big wins and he has been richly rewarded for those wins. He likes to get a snootfull and chase women.............so what ? Do any of you guys really think he is going to develop the sensibilities of a Bobby Jones , or the worldliness and health conciousness of a Gary Player? That's not who John Daly is. He's a Arkansas redneck who has a talent to play a game. He may get hot again , or he may just have his fun until he can't get a gig. Either way ; it's his life to lead and i'm absolutely sure there are bigger tragedies in the world of sport and in your own backyard. Why does he elicit so much sympathy , when he's a millionaire golfer who is careening through life in exactly the way he chooses ?
It seems many here feel obligated to share in some kind of mass empathy for poor old John Daly. He's having a ball !!! I feel more sympathy for that three legged dog down the street.
