Back when gangsta rap was leading the charts we had to worry about how young ones in society would be influenced by the lyrics. My kids were too young for that, but I was never too worried that they were going to carry a gun or join a gang when they got older.
Now the current #1 one song in the USA and in England has caught my attention. "I kissed a girl" sang by Katy Perry..
I was introduced to the song with a very catchy beat as my 12 year old daughter and her friends were belting out the lyrics.(see Below) The song just begs for females to try and experiment by kissing other girls. Hey, we all know about girls experimenting in college, but we don't need to set an example that may move this age up earlier. Just another example of the decay in society. IMO It scares me when I realize how much this kids know at such a young age compared to when I was there age.

Lyrics to I Kissed A Girl : (V1)
This was never the way I planned
Not my intention
I got so brave, drink in hand
Lost my discretion

It's not what
I'm used to
Just wanna try u on
I'm curious for you
Caught my attention

(CHORUS)
I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chapstick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it

(V2)
No I don't even know your name
It doesn't matter
You're my expiramental game
Just human nature

It's not what
Good girls do
Not how they should behave
My head gets
So confused
Hard to obey

(CHORUS)
I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chapstick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it

(BRIDGE)
Us girls we are so magical
Soft skin, red lips, so kissable
Hard to resist so touchable
Too good to deny it
Ain't no big deal, it's innocent

(CHORUS)
I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chapstick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it

You haven't lived until you have heard this song at 3 AM, in a diner, sung by a group of intoxicated young men who seem to have very little experience in kissing girls, and whose boyfriends would be very confused if they actually did so!
