Have a trip booked to Leavenworth here to do that next year. Do need to visit DC and the Smithsonian before I'm gone. Don't have a place there so it would cost us a whole extra $100 a week or so to exchange.

Let me tell you Williamsburg and the first lighting, or what ever they call it. May be the Grand Illumination would be worth the extra $100. I would bet even you would admit that once you saw it. Breath-taking. BUT, if you want to go in the next year or two, better start now. I would bet they are already fully booked for next year now.

Probably, the rates in Leavenworth triple over ther lighting ceremony weekends. Nice to have the timeshare there and we booked it the max time ahead to get it. The units were all gone the first available day. Some consider it the #1 Christmas town in the nation.
