Early evaluations:

Wow,

Tom Watson, what a feel good story this could be if he continues to play like this. Even a bigger story then Greg Norman last year.

Tiger - Wow, he sucked from what I saw. I feel he bring it back tomorrow and get himself back into contention.

Did Michael Campbell forget how to play golf?

Maybe Ben Curtis should play on the Euro tour. This seems to be the one week of the year that he shines.

John Daly is off to a good start. Would that be a bigger story than Tom?

We have Nick Faldo, oh correction, Sir Nick Faldo holding down the back of the pack.

Tom played remarkable,,,, I wish him the best !!! Am expecting Tiger to make a little run, but I feel the others mentioned will fade.

Jimenez'

Going to be some interesting groups on the weekend.
I'll bet the punters are cringing right now. :-}
I'd love to see Tom Watson and Miguel Angel Jiminez in the last group on Sunday.

Anybody rooting for Fred Hed? :-}

Later,

Could it be history in the making? Never been much of a Watson fan, in the past, but I sure hope so.
Old eyes and experience............ya know?
Go Tom!
Respect,
Chuck

I would think that the worse the weather, the better chance he has with that experience.
