Ok, OK guys. No duct tape, YET!!!! I can get a wrench from Golfsmith for $35. Sort of hate to but I'm gonna have to have it soon.
Anyway, Got it out on the course today. Not ideal conditions. 1st tee was 51* and 30 mph wind into us. I teed it up and swung away. Hit the prettiest 50 yard hook and I'm thinking Ruh-Roh!!! 2nd tee wind coming from right to left, another big hook. Damn!!!! 3rd hole a par 3 left the driver in the bag. 4th hole, dropped the ball back about a half inch in my stance, still hooked but not as wildly. In the left rough. 5th hole, par 3, decided to hit a fat 5-iron rather than hook the driver. :-} 6th hole, dropped the ball back a little more and hit a nice running draw, more better. 7th hole, tree on right was sticking out just a bit too far, stupid tree. 8th hole, par 3, 8-iron to 10' and then lipped the putt. 9th hole, Finally hit a drive. Straight and down the middle. Marked it with the GPS - 255 yards. Ok, that's workable. 10th hole, teed with 4-wood. Needed position, not distance. Didn't work but what the heck, I tried. 11th hole, weird par 5. Used 4-wood again and this time it worked. Then I screwed up the rest of the hole including a 4-putt. 12th hole, Decent drive 240 on GPS to right center of fairway. 13th hole, 4-wood again. 14th hole, par 3 15th hole, High right and gone. Too much of a good thing. 2nd ball to left center of fairway 248 per GPS 16th hole nice ball 257 to left center of fairway. 17th hole, par 3 18th hole, last gasp. Another nice ball to right center 251.
So in the initial analysis it looks like this driver may be straighter than my old one but it's a good 10 to 15 yards shorter on decent hits. I know this shaft is heavier than my old one and it might be a bit stiffer causing the loss. Trajectory is good and the feel is great. Have to see what happens next time.

Ah,, thanks for the run down,, !!! I enjoyed the hole by hole commentary,,, was great. Now, for the driver,,, !!!! Looks like a little more time in the bag and its a keeper,, !!! You and all of us know that several rounds are needed before the call can be made. IMO, the shaft would stay. Looking at some of the drives ya made, a little time and this could be a weapon,,,,,,,,
