Anyone else watch any of the WGC this last week? Sure worked well here on the left coast. Enjoyed the subdued announcing, fewer commercials and pictures of the program distributors :D

Yes.......Mickelson wins over Tiger. I was pulling for Ernie , but it was nice to see Phil play so many good shots while Tiger fumed. I'm becoming more of a Phil fan than ever. Really good tournament to watch. In the top 3 or 4 all season.

That ball in the water on the last hole was a killer for Els. He played old time Ernie golf on sunday with a 63. Ryan Moore played really well and Rory McIlroy , also , shot 63 on sunday. Nick Watney had a water ball coming down the stretch that really hurt his chances. That guy can really play.

Where was the great Anthony Kim ? He seems to disappear , to a degree , on the weekends. Not much magic to his game.

Nice to see Westwood blow a few shots coming down the stretch. The guy is too "flat" out of the rough. Don't like Westy.

The crowd seemed to be transfixed by the action. Phil seemed to be their favorite , although they were clearly waiting for Tiger to perform his usual magic . That whiffed "superflop" by Phil followed by Tiger dumping HIS flopshot in the bunker was one of the high points of the tournament. Phil ends up making an amazing putt for par ...i think...while Tiger does likewise after a superspinner out of the bunker. Great stuff.......and there were many really good shots by several different players during that last round.

The Euro announcers were drool , as usual , although Renton seems like he's getting a bit daft at times. One of the other two guys sometimes mumbles the first few words of his sentences and his voice is virtually indistinguishable from the the third guy.
I like the little muted squabbles they get into over what the players should be doing with a certain shot. I enjoy their "British thing" .............but the tenor of their voices makes me want to nap. I may be one of the few viewers who prefer American television to the Euro guys. ( At least....the viewers who post on the net.)

The "China Dolls" were a nice thing. I like a gal you can tuck under your arm. You could even train her to attack when you come home from work.............Cato.....where are you Cato ? :D

Attack chick, what a concept. Maybe Moore is finally going to play up to the potential he showed before turning pro. Watney is a solid player. Maybe these two will solidify our international teams in the coming years.

Ryan Moore can play the game. He may look like that guy with the GTO who always had a pack of cigarettes rolled up in his sleeve circa 1971 ...........but he can play golf !

They ARE good ! Makes me want to have a whiskey in my tweeds while my hound sleeps quietly by the chair. :)

It was , surprisingly , one of the best tournaments of the year.

LOL,,,, I like that also ,, "A Attack Chick",,, Hummm,,, great idea here !!!! :D

Very good tourney and I have no idea what the hell happened to Tiger on the weekend. Was great to see Ernie and Phil play the way they did.

I have a feeling that Watney make have broken thought the confidence barrier and we might see a lot of him in the future,,, !!! Now,, I hope I just didn't hex this kid,,, He has "GAME" !!!

FC says that if you learn to golf in the NW, you can golf anywhere and Moore is finally showing it. Took a while for the had to heal and get the confidence back. Interesting that he spurned all sponsors this year but heard he picked up a deal for next year. Has put on lots of weight this year though.
