He should easily break 80. He seems to play the game well enough to shoot seventy-something. Heck...i just played yesterday for the first time in 99 days and shot 81...without a warm-up. He just needs to get the ball up and in around the greens and it will happen. I have no idea what kind of a course he is playing .....length ? .....course rating ? ...etc. I also don't have a feel for how well he plays around the greens yet. Breaking 80 is all about not having any disaster holes. You can get away with a double bogey , but you will have to make a birdie or two to offset those kind of holes. The first time i broke 80 .............i shot 77 on a fairly tough course with a triple bogey on the last hole ! OUCH......that hole still hurts after all these years. I hope he gets there. JJ

I'll probably watch both shows at least a few times, but now that I'm back to work full time,I'm not watching much TV anymore,so I don't know when I'll get the chance. Congrats to JJBECK72 on the round of 81.I haven't even had the chance to swing a club in the last 6 months, but I might be golfing here this weekend and I would be lucky to break 90 using winter rules. I have a new golf bag this year that is pretty cool.I bought it for $20 at a garage sale and it is in pretty good shape. It is a BagBoy Revolver...The top can be spun to get to any club in the bag,and it has a ton of room, including a built-in cooler that can hold a six pack and plenty of ice.I badly needed a new bag, because my old Taylor Made bag was so beat up that I received compliments last year for my outstanding ability to garbage pick.

Hello Dan....................good to hear you're back to work full-time. I'm only working part-time , so i spend my mornings "working at home" ..........otherwise known as.... fooling around at home. We just got a little puppy.......Maxwell Smart.......and i'm in constant fear of when and where he will drop his next bomb. Thanks .......i played really well for a first round of the season. You know how it goes.....you go out and play halfway well to begin the season and then it's all downhill from there. I like the "built-in cooler " feature ; but the name..." Bagboy Revolver"..sounds like something you use on yourself after a particularly bad round. My last golfbag ; festooned with duct tape and faded to a color resembling the pallor of a dead body , was replaced ( a present from my wife) by a new red handy dandy model . It , almost immediately , faded to a nice Ian Poulter pink ........so ; now i got THAT goin for me. Thankfully ; pink is all the rage , so i'm stylin and i'm even thinking of making pink my "Sunday color." She even bought me a new three wheel pushcart. It replaced an old Wilson pullcart that had first seen service sometime around the invention of television. The new one is fantastic , but i miss the lonesome wheel squeal of "Wilson." It was a comforting sound to my ears , but a sure irritant to my competitors. Nice today......Maxwell Smart and i may get out for some golf....later. I am sure to have a "shitty" round with Max alongside. JJ

Hope you got solid rubber tires on the new cart, pumping up the sun mountain is a pain.
Finally got my free round in the mail today that I won at the golf show. Great timing, tied a record low temp last night and the s word is in the foreguess. Had a little yesterday and might get a little tonight.

Yeah...she got me one with solid rubber tires. She knew that anything that required even the least bit of maintenance would be a bad fit for me. I played 9 holes yesterday in a 35- 40 mph wind. I only made par on one hole...but , at least , it was the last . Hard to play a wind like that.....but i did hit 4 fairways....if you want to call them "fairways." Course conditions are really rough this time of year. March in Colorado is windy , cold , and then windy again. The grass is dead as a doornail. By the time it starts getting green and reasonably playable ( mid April) ....they airate the greens and it's crappy again. Conditions will be good by mid- May or somewhere around there. I love this game.

Back to the topic: The Romano/ Haney show is not bad. Much better than that idiot Barkley. The only thing Barkley has going for him is the fact that he has the worst swing in the history of the game ! Ray has a swing and game most of us can relate to. He should have no problem breaking 80 with Hank's help , but it's really hard to make changes in your swing . I just caught an episode of " Being John Daly. " It's worse than the first show....if that's possible. I try hard to like John Daly , but he reminds me of guys in bars who get really mean when they drink. He must be a joy to live with by now. Has he made a cut yet ? He's going to go out on the town any week now and get really plowed . You can see it coming. The segment where they film his girlfriend driving back to the hotel room to get his putter was facinating.............if you just had a lobotomy ! She DOES stick out in all the right places though. Next week..........John looks for his socks while AGAIN telling us how much sex he is having....don't miss it !

Only 2 weeks to Maui and some warm golf. No casinos there so that will keep Mist from spending to much.

Ok, after watching a few more episodes of Romano, I think his goal should be to break 90, not 80. He looks like a 90's shooter now.
Daley's show: a snoozer.
