nuhips wrote: Hey, what an insult. I can't believe people here in beer heaven actually drink Budlight or the same thng in Corona bottles. Just passing on what I read. I walk when the course isn't too severe too. Remember I did 2 rounds at Bandon I had WAY too much coffee yesterday. Didn't mean to impune your golf ethics. I should have erased a couple of those posts. Warm here....i was thinking of going down to the practice round , but have no ticket and it looks like they don't sell tickets on site ????? I also have much work to do....but i am allergic to work this time of year.

Yeah ; i have seen some of those kind of commercials. You know....i just wish some of these folks would learn how to play the game from a golfcart if that is their mode of transport. I was watching a group come in on nine as i was practicing the other day. Two carts...four golfers. One cart rides over to the right rough and , after much yukking up because he was blocked by trees , plays his shot. Then ; it's across to the other side to find the other guys ball in the left rough. They were shorter than their playing partners , who were waiting for them to play.......then their playing partners went through the same routine...one guy playing while the other sat in the cart and then a ride to the opposite side to play another shot. ( They took twice as long to play as they should have.) Meanwhile ; a group was waiting on the tee of the short par four. It's like a disease...they can't seem to get more than a few yards from their cart . I really think carts slow down play , rather than speed it up , on a traditional course where tees are mostly close to the greens. There are certainly many resort style monstrosities out there with 400 yard cart rides every other hole where carts are pretty much required , but on a traditional course , they are a hindrance to the flow.

nuhips wrote: Must have been a good day for you. Wonder where everyone else went? Starting the weekend early? Didn't get to play or practice yesterday , but i'm hoping to hit the pill today. Got a puck in the elbow last night at hockey ( somehow between my pads) and my right arm feels like hell. Just in time to affect my perfectly honed golf game just before my big round against my brother on friday. We will be playing a nice course in Eagle , Colorado. ( Eagle Ranch G.C. ) It's an Arnold Palmer design......or , at least , his name is on the design. Tough course , that does not let you off the hook if you are striking the ball poorly. ( I'm so glad my arm feels like it's busted.) We really need some posters on the DB. I purposely post outrageous stuff sometimes to beat some folks out of the bushes , but this place is a cemetary. Maybe we should start a CRICKET discussion board. Now THERE IS AN INTERESTING SPORT !!!! This is the first cricket thread. What in the hell are they DOING out there ? Anyone ? ......................................................................................i think i HEAR some crickets. C'mon....you cricketeers....let's talk cricket !

I never worry about my ethics They sell tickets starting at the pro-am rounds here but not for the practice day.

Then there are guys like I ended up with the last time out. it was 90* rule but he was down the center of the fairway every hole, even the par 3's. There are lots of HILLS on the course, the one on the side of Mt. Baker I posted He played from the blues, sometimes there I will play the grays but this time whites. He was no longer than I am so it was just an ego trip. He gave me his business card for an online store, but since he had trouble keeping score and finishing holes, I tossed it.

Yesterday as I was leaving the sub job, I rounded a corner headed to the parking lot. Didn't see the gel on the floor, slipped on it and went down. Left ankle is sore, back was a little tight this morning. Filed an injury report just in case. More worried about damaging the hips but they seem OK so far. Tomorrow will tell though. It has rained all day so no problem taking a job now. Going to Fiddler on the Roof tonight.
