Anybody see the end of the Nationwide Tourny. Matt made about a 5 footer to win the tournament and take #1 on the money list also. He threw his putter im guessing about 15 to 20 foot in the air, then went to hug his caddy. A wry smile came across my face as i was waiting for it to come down . I thought he would either konk either himself, his caddy or a fellow compeitor in the head. It would not have been pretty picure at all if that had of happened. All I thought about was those golf bloopers they have been showing on TGC. but low and behold it came down and put a hell of a gouge in the green. But his caddy did fix the crater. it was kind of a kodak moment to say the least. Gary

I believe Jack N and Tom W have both been caught on tape tossing their putters in the air after particularly emotional wins. I don't think they even realize they do it until the putter is in the air. I've never heard of anyone being hurt but like others have said it's only a matter of time. You could only hope that the person getting hit would be the person who threw the putter, but it never seems to happen that way.
Later,

Have to agree with JJ, it would be like a boomerang and nail me. Thinking of a Watson picture, don't think his went very far.

Later, Those were the first 2 I thought of after the post,,, !!!! And yea your 100% right, if the putter was thrown up the one throwing would be the only one not hit !!!
