DO you like the kid? Are you excited he won? Here is a fresh kid who is good for the game. Nice paycheck to get the day before your 21st B-day. LOL

Hey Roy -

Yeah! I do like the kid! And I was delighted he won in such dramatic fashion. He strikes me as the "nice boy from down the street who's always polite and comes out to play ball with the little kids". It just seemed totally genuine when he said he hadn't yet taken it all in. I didn't sense any ego at all yet, I think he knows he's good enough to know he was going to win sooner than later but to do it so decisively was just beyond his ken. Loved the comment when Faherty asked him about celebrations. Since he's only 20 he can't drink in the US - (Yeah! Right!) But was he going to have a bit a blow-out when he gets back to the Old Sod, where the drinking age is 18?. Rory couched his comments expetly but the message was clear - count on it, Bud!!

I think it was also a great touch teeing up Faherty to do the final interview. They're both from Ulster and it was pretty obvious David was very, very touched by, not only the win, but the way in which he did it. I think we're gonna see a lot more of this young man. At least, I hope so. Nice kid.

Cheers
Chuck

He seems to have a good attitude about the whole thing. He is another one that got a good contract to start out but still seems quite grounded.
