Sergio out for the Saturday morning session, first time he has ever been sat down! Is there more to this? He was not sharp today, but did not stink it up too bad????

Westwood coming back after his illness I can understand, and he was a stud today. He sort of faded a little on the second 9, but came back when it counted on the 18th.

I just viewed the pairings and couldn't believe it. !!!! Benching "Both" IMO is crazy !!! They have the experience and Sergio just had a bad day. I sure hope Faldo continues on this path. Could be good for us !!!!!

Why wouldn"t you put two of your best players out there saturday morning? Like someone has said, is there something going on with these guys not seeing eye to eye or what. With Sergio"sand Lee"s records in the Ryder cup you would think you would want your best players playing. What are we missing here? if everything is ok in that camp, Captain Nick might just handed the Cup back to the USA.
Im sure he will raked over the coals in the European golf world if this happens. or Nick will be called a genius if they come back and win it Sunday. Could it be some kind of strategy ploy? What that would be i dont know other than resting them for the afternoon. But still doesnt make much sense to me. anybody else got any ideas?

I can't even imagine sitting one of the best all-time team players in the Ryder Cup!! Boggles the mind. I don't think Westwood is still feeling sick either, as he played well yesterday afternoon! Sitting Westwood "might" make sense, because of the illness, but sitting Garcia makes absolutely NO sense.

Also he's sticking with his captain picks pairing, and THEY are playing. Gotta be some rift between Faldo and Garcia????

Outside of Van de Velde's meltdown in the Open and Phil leaving driver out at Torrey, this is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen...BUT it "should" be really good for the U.S.!!

It should be a good thing for the US !!!! IMO, its Faldo showing "Who" controls "The Team" !!!! He has been quoted as a control freak !!!!!

I would not doubt that. According to the BBC, Westwood said he did not want to sit out, and Faldo told him he thought it best if he did! No mention of Garcia. Maybe Garcia gets to sit because they're partners? Who knows?? LOL

I would have to say, if that's the case its Faldo !!!!! Have no idea on why he would do this, but as you stated we do need at least 2 of these matches and I agree we should have 3 of them. Not looking that way at the moment though !!!!

I think it's a case of Faldo is the Captain and he has the bottom line. TGC is playing him up every opportunity as though he has been coached, but bottom line he wants everyone to know who the Captain is!
