No car windows......but i DID break a glass table on a guys porch many years ago. That was when i hit it much longer , but MUCH wilder also. That one cost me a few bucks , but it's the only time i have broken anything.

Most "car-parks" in the States are covered with asphalt or concrete ; not to mention they are out of bounds , so getting up and down ( for par) is usually out of the question.

When i take my 21 year old son out for a round of golf , i'm careful to pick courses where the houses are NOT in play ! He hits it a mile ; but you never know where some of those bombs will land. I choose courses out in the middle of nowhere for his game.

I really don't like courses where the fairways are lined with housing. The good designs keep the houses out of play , but some are either poorly designed , or the builders came in later and put the building sites in bad places. I'm a fairly straight hitter these days ( if a bit short) , so i mostly stay out of backyards and parking lots. Now....if i could just stay out of lakes...... and streams........and natural areas......and waste areas.........and canals....... and tall grass............swamps........major rivers........trees.......bushes........gardens........crops........roads.......i might have a chance to score ! :)

I hear you. Those other hazards can wreak havoc with your game, maybe we should outlaw them. :-}

When we play a course with close housing I always tell folks that we're going "Condo-Bombing".

MADRID, Spain (AP) — Seve Ballesteros remained in stable condition in a Madrid hospital on Friday following last week's brain surgery on a cancerous tumor.

La Paz hospital said in a statement that the 51-year-old Spaniard's condition was ``evolving favorably,'' and marked no change from the last update that was released Wednesday.

Ballesteros, a five-time major winner, remained in intensive care one week after a 6 1/2-hour operation to remove the brain tumor and reduce swelling around the brain. It was his third operation since being admitted on Oct. 6 after fainting at Madrid's international airport.

This sounded pretty good, considering how little info came out at first.
