Guess it doesn't make much difference to me. Years of playing guitar in R&B and Blues bands fried my ears a long time ago! (The guitar in the image on my posts is the main culprit!) I've lost over 25% of the hearing in my left ear. (Amp was nearly tall as me and usually behind me and to my left.....)
Can't imagine a Ti driver that's louder than a Fender Dual Showman with the volume at 10. Bring it on!

Cheers
Chuck

Great looking guitar Chuck,,,,,, :D

Great looking Axe Chuck.

Here's my little gem I have had for twenty some odd years!
I love the sound!
A good Peter-Paul and Mary song type!

Thanks for the "bon mots" about the Tele guys. He's known affectionately as The Old Man. I really only put it up there 'cuz being a 1961 Telecaster, it's the basis for my screen name.
It has an interesting history. I bought it privately, 3rd hand, in about 64 or 65. One of the previous owners sanded all the original white-blonde finish down to bare wood. Idiot! Anyway - took it into my local Fender dealer and asked about sending it back to Fender and having it refinished. They nearly choked. Said it'd cut the value to less than half. Since I hadn't really considered it a "vintage" instrument and wasn't planning to sell it anyway, I kind of said "So..........?" Gary, the main guitar guru there, said, "Don't you have any idea what this guitar is worth?" Told him I'd paid $325 for it in the 60's & had been told it might be worth about $1000 now (that was in '98). I nearly fell over when Gary said "multiply that by at least 10!"
We think the original neck may have been damaged and replaced because the Rosewood fingerboard is unusual, but not unheard of, on a '61. But the current neck is date matching (the date of manufacture is stamped into the butt of the neck) and Gary verified that it's all original and from the period when all Fender instruments were hand made - not stamped out on machines. Also, the body is made of Swamp Ash - rare even today - so it's light as a feather compared to most Teles and has a very thick, warm sound. At the moment it's separately insured for $12Gs and will be pried out of my cold, dead hands. It'll go to my son then.
Tom - Great instrument of yours and I'm sure it has considerable vintage value, too. Fender was not well known for their accoustics but an original Fender dreadnaught 12-string in that condition is a beautiful instrument and has to be worth some dough.
Sorry this got so long ......
Cheers
Chuck

Very nice instrument, indeed, Cobra! Angus Young would be proud! Are you ever sorry you let it go?

My brother has a '68 SG Special with P90 pick-ups. That thing just sustains for-bloody-EVER and has a beautifully thick high end on the bridge pick-up ....... not like a Tele's country-shrill treble that just about slices your ears off.

Be good!
