Tiger Woods has decided to get rid of Steve Williams as his caddie.

Woods announced on his website Wednesday that he and Williams, who have been together since March 1999, will no longer be working together. Woods said only that it was time for a change.

Woods did not say who would replace Williams, or when he would return.

Williams has worked the last two majors for Adam Scott of Australia.

I'd be interested to know which party actually dumped the other, and what the real reasons behind the dumping are.

TIme for a change? It's not Stevie's fault that your knee is f'd, It's not Stevie's fault that you're rebuilding your swing again and it's not Stevie's fault that you have not won since Thanksgiving 2009. One thing you need when one has gone through what Tiger has the past year and a half is a constant, a friend and someone who know's you. That would be Stevie. Tiger will have no problem getting a caddie, but the odds of finding another real good fit is very slim. Tiger may waste another couple of years finding the right caddie. Bad move Tiger.

THIS JUST IN....................Tiger Woods has hired Holly Sonders as his new caddie. According to the Woods camp , Sonders has the golf background and just the right set of attributes that could put Tiger back on path. Sonders won't , actually carry the bag , but would be nearby to help with Tiger's mental acuity and maybe rake a bunker , or just bend over once in awhile. Tim Finchem will be carrying the bag and saying "yes sir" and " no sir " in the appropriate manner so as not to antagonize the boss. The third member of Tiger's new "caddie triumverate" will be Charles Barkley ; who will add a little muscle and knows where all the chicks are hanging out. He could , also , lend a hand with any kind of swing advice that Tiger would require. Tiger is said to be working on that "Barkley Lag Swing."
Tiger is said to be " Very excited about this new direction. "

Never liked Stevie , but he's a good caddie. Tiger never really grew up. He's the ultimate brat. That whole generation of thirtysomethings are a bunch of brats. No other age group is harder to deal with. They are a bunch of know- it- alls with nothing to back it up. Tiger , at least , has something to back it up........14 majors !

Seems a stupid move .......but he will win if he gets healthy , and all you Tiger lovers will crow about what a good move it was to fire Stevie.

He needs some motivation and maybe Holly will provide it. If not all that spousal support he owes will get him going;-)
