Nice boss to have. Moose Drool isn't distributed over a wide area so you are going to have to be somewhere close to Montana to get it.

Moose Drool is available here ....not bad.....but i don't like "extreme hops" in my beer. Too many of the micro beers have that sour hoppy taste...................i get the "runs" just thinking about it ! :) They taste ..."unfinished" to me , like a homebrew that is flat as a pancake. They are also , way too expensive. Guinness is a strongly flavored beer , but it has a smooth finish and does not leave that hoppy tang on the tongue. It's worth the extra cost , while many of the micros are just some yutz throwing another overcooked hoppy mess at you . Some of the "nut brown ales" are a bit better , but they often have too much of a bitter finish....................overcooked. Smooth as an Ernie Els golf swing.....that's how a beer should finish.

It's all good though.....good friends and good beer are good things. :)

YES ....Moosehead has that great combination of perfect lager taste and a slightly sweet finish that makes me want to have another ! The folks in New Brunswick got it right. I just hope they keep making it....and it is not expensive either ! Good on your son-in-law and the people in Nova Scotia....................home of hockey.

Newcastle is VERY good. One of my favorites back in my climbing days , when the boss was paying for it. :)

When you say it's not that expensive methinks the good old Canadian "sin taxes" are at work - again. It's one of the spendiest brands we have - considered premium beer. A case of 24 is nearly $40 whereas, run of the mill stuff like Canadian, Labbatt's Blue, run around $29-$32 a 2-4.
Cheers
Chuck

I think that one was my introduction to English beers - and a good one it was. Tons of flavour without the rip-the-roof-of-your-mouth-off hopping. From there, I learned to really appreciate the qualities and flavours of English/Scottish/Irish brews and why Brits drink them at "cellar" temperature. (We'd consider it too warm.) And, why you nurse only a couple through an evening.
There are two I've been hunting for in our Vintages stores - a specialty store run by Liquor Control Board of Ontario. Theakston's Olde Peculiar and Bishop's Tipple. Both are very rare and both are very strong. My brother did a doctorate at Oxford University, in England, and had some Bishop's Tipple at a local pub. Bar-keep would only serve him a pony (about 6oz) cuz he'd already had a couple of other beers. By his own admission, knocked him FLAT ON HIS ASS.
Cheers
Chuck

Very sad......the sin tax. I had no idea that Canadians were such sinners. :)

The Obama is working on OUR sin taxes as we speak. We must obey The Obama. He that is all knowing will free us from our preoccupation with beer. Only The Obama knows what will be. All Praise The Obama.

I raise a glass of Moosehead to The Obama .......in the hope that he will tax me and free me from this sorrowful addiction to sin. If only he would tax my golf and free me from that which is unholy to the left. I pray that his all -hearing jug-ears pick up my lonesome cry for freedom. End my pain , oh master...........free me from these sinful pursuits.

Let ALGORE be my template. Tax me until i squeal like AL ..................yes....in that sickening pseudo Tennesseean falsetto. We must all squeal like AL .............OR THE PLANET IS DOOMED !!!!!

I feel much better now. The Obama has graced me with a "SHOUT OUT" ...............a Holy shout out from he of the jug-ears.
Let us ALL shout out for The Obama..................and surely he will hear our plea. ( Dude should get more channels than DISH on those things.) We bow to thee oh Obama. Even though we are evil and twisted beer drinking , suv driving ( mine is black) , candy bar eating , racist , ....wretches...........we bow.......like you.....we bow to that we know not....in the hope we will wake to the inner ALGOREAN TRUTH.

The question is.............what in hell does any of this have to do with the Liambus hit on Fanelli.
I can't answer that......but i'll drink to a full recovery for Fanelli .........i'll drink a Moosehead.

Beck

We have a tav in this part of the city named Olde Pecuilar, pretty rough place from what I've read.

I've never seen a case of beer here for over $30, you guys are really bad up there. Have to pay for these winter games somehow :D
