Can't go wrong with Woods and Stricker......... Mickleson sure pulled it out as well! I did like watching Yashikawa! The "Kid" is good.

I think Freddie deserves as much consideration for a Ryder Cup captaincy as anyone else out there. He has always been one of my favorite players to watch and he was obviously a "genious" with his Presidents Cup pairings. If they pick him ....he probably won't answer the phone.

Is already talk of having repeat captains for the next one in Aussieland. Makes sense for Norman to continue for that one. Would bet that lots of US players will have some "minor Surgury" scheduled for 10/11.

Agree about these captaincies being over-blown. Maybe some of these guys are just too intense. On the other hand, Freddie might have the right idea. Set the pairings then, stay out of their way and let them play. Love what Venturi said about him a few years back............"last time Freddie got upset about anything was when his mom waited too long to change his diaper." That said - I think the guy has some really deep-seated emotions and cares a lot. He just doesn't wear it on his sleeve everyday. My 2c Tele
