Hey JJ
I actually answered you last night but I'm doing a Willy Nelson (On the road again). Was staying in a hotel that, believe it or not, penalizes you by limiting data transmission speed if they feel you're using too much band width. My response was just sitting there in limbo for about a half hour so I killed it. Guess where I'm not staying next time I come to Red Deer, Alberta! EconoLodge.

Anyway, point was, it's not that I think Tiger is no good if he's not turning the air blue. Rather it just seemed to me like the passion is MIA at the moment. He just didn't seem to care all that much. I know he's promised to rein in the potty mouth and certainly Jim Nantz slagged him big for the same old same old at The Masters. Who knows, maybe he took that to heart and I misread it.

Certainly agree with your comments about the scandal. That horse is long gone. But he MUST do something about the collateral damage to Elin and the family and his mother. As long as that is unfinished business it has to be detracting from his on-course focus.

Like you said, the fans will eventually forgive and forget. His ability to hit seemingly impossible shots in seemingly impossible situations is unparalleled and, if for no other reason, golf needs him. In the end I think he just needs more time to get it all sorted out and get his head straight.

Gotta hit the rack - early flight home tomorrow. Enjoy the Stanley Cup playoffs, Bud.

Later
Chuck

Chuck........................Out in Red Deer eh. Probably nicer weather there than here....snowed an inch and a half last night.

Really good post.....if you're going to make so much sense when you post , i don't know that you are welcome around here. :)
I thought he needed to be "slagged" by Jim Nantz. He did it in just the right way and i think it (still) takes guts for a television guy to take El Tigro on in ANY way. I'm a Jim Nantz fan. He wrote an interesting book chronicling his career and the death of his father from Alzsheimers disease. He has a great sense for the sports he covers and he is a very genuine person ; although he is hated by many of the bozos over on TGC. ( but...OF COURSE...they are a bunch of morons.)

Tiger seems to be settling in a bit. He needs to sink some putts and keep his ball dry.....like the rest of us. :) As everyone knows......i am a HUGE Tiger fan , so i hope he continues on the right path. ( I have him in fantasy. :) )

The Stanley Cup playoffs have been excellent , except for my Avs getting axed. Surprise team , so far , has to be the Montreal Canadiens. They are somehow hanging tough. Bruins are mildly surprising......and that Canucks / Blackhawks series has been entertaining. I love it !
Take care of yourself and get out and play some golf.

JJ

Whether in Red Deer was the pits, too. Last Tuesday got on the plane on a sunny, 72* day in Toronto. Four hours later landed in Edmonton on a cloudy, windy, 28* day and 4" of wet snow on the ground. The snow stopped that night but it stayed miserablely cold and windy the whole time I was there.

TIGER WIE ! What a drama queen. Okay Woodrick......the neck hurts...geeeesh. My neck has been sore since 19 FRICKEN 91 !!! Maybe they could have tasered him to see if that would straighten things out. He's full of feces....he felt it sliding away and quit. If he were anywhere within sight of the lead , he would have played on. I can hear his "fans" now.......HE PLAYED FOR THREE AND A HALF DAYS WITH A BROKEN NECK ......AND WE THINK HIS LEG IS STILL BROKEN.....AND HE HAS HAD THE SNIFFLES FOR A FEW YEARS.....AND THAT BAD MAN SAID SOMETHING AWFUL TO HIM....HOW CAN HE GO ON !!!!!!!

Good to hear you are watching some hockey Hips. Hockey hips ???....i knew a girl like that once. Some good series being played.

Chuck........you mean the weather is bad in Edmonton......WHO KNEW ? :) We have a snow storm coming tomorrow night. A gad darn SNOW STORM ! The weather has been more like March than May down here. It's enough to make my neck sore. I don't think i can even shake a guy's hand.....owwwwww..see everyone.....i can't even shake his hand ! He is worse than Wie !

Well done, JJ! You never cease to crack me up!

Edmonton - yeah, I forget once in a while that where I live is 500+mi south of there. Why on earth would I expect it to be anything like Southern Ontario????

Apart from that - it'll be interesting to hear the results of the impending MRI. He's self-diagnosing it as a potential herneated disc in his neck or upper back.

Cheers - Tele

It has been cooler than normal here too, at least that's what they told me about a lot of it 8-) 15* cooler today than yesterday.
Hockey or even skating is one of the few things I can't blame my new ones on. Did very little skating. Except that term came up about me many times in the Navy
